Distribution of Electrol powders to the Migrant Labours

Chetana Child and Women Welfare Society Jagdalpur took initiative to distributed Electrol powders to the Migrant Labours on 17/05/2020. Chetana Jagdalpur team reached to one of our site i.e. Chokawada near Nagarnar where migrant labours from Jharkhand State and Andhra Pradesh are travelling back to their native places by the help of Bastar administration and their respective state administration. During these days of pandemic across the country many labours are travelling back or migrating to their native places.

They need food and water for their survival during the journey, along with it they also need to maintain their hydration as the summer's heat is unbearable for their health. We decided to distribute Electrol Powder which can be edible without water also. In Chokawada we provided Electrol Powder to approx 945 Migrant Labours travelling to Jharkhand and 325 Labours to Andhra Pradesh.Then we got an information that Migrant Labours working in Tealangana State are also travelling back to Jharkhand and they took the route to Jharkhand via Bastar route, then we immediately moved to Jagdalpur City and here in Raipur Jagdalpur Highway we provided Electrol Powder to 270 Migrant Labour who are travelling from Telangana along with the help of Bastar chamber of commerce as they have food supplies and distributed food items and water for their journey and we also joined by a Volunteer from Jagdalpur City who actively and freely volunteered our campaign. Hence, it proved to be a good public coordination campaign also.
