Celebrating World Menstruation Day

Chetana Child and Women Welfare Society Jagdalpur formed the "Pad Didi" group through which sanitary pads are being delivered to the needy women during Lockdown-2.We are sending packets of sanitary pads to the needy women on the basis of the call received.

Women might not hesitate to call, but as soon as it was publicized that identity would be kept confidential, then calls were constantly coming. These are difficult times and all have to fight together against this pandemic.

It is bound to tell that from the first week of Lockdown-2, the team of Chetana Child and Woman Welfare Society Jagdalpur has been making all efforts to provide all the logistics needed to the needy and in the meantime, the women members of the team were asked to make the sanitary pads also available, "Pad Didi" formed and started providing pads by reaching home through door to door service based on calls made.

It is worth mentioning that Pad Didi has already sent packets of pads to more than 550 of young women till date and now we are concluding this unique yet memorable initiative of "Pad Didi" on the occasion of "World Menstruation Day" on 28th May 2021.
