On 18/01/20 an event organized by District Administration Bastar in association with Chhattisgarh Tourism Board,Amcho Bastar & Yuvoday. The theme of this event was "To overcome malnutrition and achieve the dream of a well-nourished Bastar".The event is named "DU PAIDIL : SUPOSHAN BAR" as it reflects the chhattisgarhi term for a Cycling Event under the malnutrition eradication programme of Administration.
It was a Cycling Programme which was developed both for common cyclists and pros.The event having three levels which was Beginner,Intermediate, & Professional. The Beginner Level covered the distance from Chitrakote Waterfall to Mendri/Tamada Ghumar Waterfall (20 kms), the Intermediate Level consisted of distance from Mendri/Tamada Ghumar to Michnar (45kms) and the Final and Professional Level covered distance a 38kms + 12kms(jungle offroading) back to chitrakote. In this event as a chief guest MLA of Bastar along with various Administration & Police Officials participated.
The Cycle Rally Started from Green Flag hoisted by MLA Mr. Deepak Baij. The Cyclists & Participants were welcomed in Bastar's Traditional manner.The Cyclists participated from various parts of states and from other states too.
In this event our PM-TI from Chetana Jagdalpur Rekha Pareya gave her active participation.The gathering of participants was at huge numbers and they were all came forward and participated to pledge to support & overcome malnutrition and eradicate it from around 18000 malnutritioned children totally from Bastar region and all other parts of the nation.
