Free Health Awareness Camp

Chetna Child and Women Welfare Society, Raipur organized a free health camp in Banjari Nagar field. The project coordinator, Mrs. Indu Sahu, project manager, Mrs. Poonam Sahu, and counselor, Rupa Sen, along with all the staff from Chetna office, were present. Doctors and lab technicians from the Community Health Center were also there.

Mrs. Indu Sahu emphasized the camp's goal of holistic development and working for the society's welfare by creating awareness about health. Each camp conducts check-ups for 100-150 people, primarily detecting hypertension and diabetes. The health check-up for Ward No. 10 councilor was the inaugural one.

Free medical camps like these aim to raise awareness among the underprivileged who lack access to basic health services or are unaware of their health conditions. These camps provide free medical advice, medication, and referrals for specialized treatments or surgeries when needed, ensuring people receive timely healthcare and address minor health issues before they escalate.

The health camp included free tests for blood pressure, sugar, HIV, syphilis, and tuberculosis, along with the provision of medication. This initiative contributes significantly to promoting health awareness and ensuring accessible healthcare for the community
